We gave the campers a last chance to say goodbye on Monday morning, the day most international campers departed. To say it was moving would be an understatement. Camp has ended, but the friendships that campers had made were just starting to bloom. They grew very attached to each other and got used to living with each others’ presence. It was both beautiful and heartbreaking seeing them say goodbye. If we’re sure of one thing however, it’s that they’re going to carry memories of each other, of camp, and of Palestine for a very long time to come. That’s the beauty of Go Palestine after all, it remains within all of us.
